Campanet Natural Spring Walk.
Campanet is a charming town located about 2 km from the natural springs and caves that lie just behind it. Easily accessible, you can find Campanet off the main Alcudia to Palma road; as you drive towards Alcudia, look for the town on your left nestled against the stunning backdrop of the Tramuntana mountains.
The area offers a lovely escape into nature, and it’s especially enjoyable for dog owners. There are three distinct walking routes available, all well signposted and differing in length. We opted for the second walk, which provided a pleasant trek through wooded areas. The natural springs can be seen after heavy rainfall, as they flow down from the mountains—creating a breathtaking sight that is definitely worth witnessing.
So, if you’re in the mood for some fresh air, stunning views, and a bit of exercise, the Campanet natural springs and surrounding area might just be the perfect spot for your next outdoor adventure.
We really enjoyed our walk.
Today's walk lasted a few hours. Unfortunately, the springs were not running due to the dry conditions, but we enjoyed a lovely picnic. Snowy had a great time as well.
Other interesting parts on the walk.
On our walk, we encountered several intriguing charcoal mining huts that showcased the region's historical significance. Additionally, we discovered an insect corner, which offered a fascinating glimpse into the local biodiversity. These findings added depth to our excursion, making it a memorable experience.
Final Thoughts
Although the streams were not flowing, we enjoyed a delightful walk. Snowy discovered other small dogs to play with, adding to her joy during our outing. I would definitely recommend this walk.
